In the last
blog this was stressed upon that there is large scale compromise of the content
in internet. Some of the reasons and situations were also discussed but
something r other was left out. This is the week to settle those issues in
discussion. More devilish is the person who is intelligent enough to understand
a wrong but still chooses to continue doing it with the approximate assumption
that it is not harmful. To whom is it not harmful? To the earnest visitor who
is desperate for some information or to the website owner who relied with
trust. The question has not even included the technical aspects like junks that
will fill up cyberspace or the child who is search with specific keywords and
again with smart SEO is obliged to go through this junk and considers internet
to be full of these only, that loss of trust? The intelligent content developer
is the person to blame. This piece is discussing some of their modus operandi.
We have done
this sometimes and so known some of the damages we created. Why the intelligent
content writer? It is not hard to identify a poorly written content and even
the hallowed robots can do that with some effort. It is hard to distinguish the
quality or lack of it when written by a smart person. The information is so
obliterated with linguistic confusion that many will not even remember what
they were searching in the first place. Will they benefit? Only if the content
tries to provide something other than confusion. Why would a smart person
compromise the quality and beauty of content?
Easy, quick
money. That is the main source of this online compromise. Many writers can earn
decent but given a high typing speed and ability to write on will enable them
to earn much more. Hourly rates vary for blogs or articles, and from a few
dollars it can go to hundreds. A person who is smart naturally will write only
these senseless contents that are bracketed in the lower middle range of
remuneration. The money is mostly given for quick turnaround time and placing
of selected phrases, in the parlance of search engine they are keywords. Some
of them will not even fit any sentence however hard one may try.
A person
writing these contents will not need to think, improvise, need not mind the
language, not mind the subject matter just will have to press whatever comes to
mind. So they can deliver a lot in the same time frame of one article and earn
lot more than they are suppose to, writing as decent blog or article. Why
should they bother? There are plenty of content firms doing roaring business
delivering such articles to many who need them but are the poor site owners in
the loop? I doubt very strongly.
A site is
built with sweat and dream of a person or a group of persons. Will they want
that to be so abused? When after the recent SEO guidelines of Google the
contents are more into focus and more scrutiny is done on their quality and
material. Once the robots (yes the hallowed ones) get a sense of the useless,
rudderless contents being used naturally they will doubt the authenticity f the
site and if similar procedures are repeated the site can even be blacklisted.
Who will lose the sweat and dreams? The content firm writing those contents or
the person using them to promote the site or the innocent, uninitiated site
owner? Easy answer, hard consequences.
How can this
be changed? Is this a thing to change or is it here for permanency? What is the
best way to get out of it? We propose, do not search cheap, there are some
people who will provide cheap considering relative values of currencies but
they do not last. Do not appoint someone new without personally supervising
their end products. Monitor every activity of the new recruit for initial days
where interest of the site owner is concerned. Always look for people with
fresh ideas that are not rephrased from others but thought out, t the expense
of time. Search engines on their part are already into it. They are very
seriously into stopping litter on the net. Be wary of them, once blacklisted it
can spoil many other plans. Be on the vigil, not for contents of interest but
for the overall standard of it on internet.
